Once started, a watch does not need a lot of effort to keep it going .
. . .
But it does require some !
Residents usually ask for a Watch to be set up in their block or street when
there is a concern about crime or some such problem.
So the Watch starts energetically. The very formation of the Watch
will often solve the problem or calm the situation.
In time, then, the energy in the Watch wanes.
Or the co-ordinator may move house.
The Watch may even become inactive. Until crime returns !
Don't wait until this happens ! Remember PREVENTION !
If your Watch is running down or is inactive, contact GNWA !!
We will help revitalise the watch by -
Arranging a meeting of members;
Explaining the basics of running a Watch;
Helping the members select a new co-ordinator if necessary.
Providing information, marker pens, stickers, etc.
