to join.
How does Neighbourhood Watch work? - It advises residents how to PREVENT crime.
They make their own properties more secure and Observe what is going on in the street as they move around the district -
shopping, going to work, visiting friends, going to entertainments and so on.
Although Neighbourhood Watch is known as a way of preventing crime where we live, the same
principles can be applied in other areas. Farm Watch prevents crime against farm machinery, livestock and premises.
Harbour Watch is usually for small boats or marinas. The Booklet 2nd edition lists various types of Watch.
